This Code of Conduct reflects our shared responsibility to create a collaborative, inclusive, and harassment-free environment.

 

Who This Code Applies To


This Code of Conduct is intended for all individuals involved in Sunny Side of the Doc, including accredited participants, staff, speakers, exhibitors, and partners. By attending, you agree to uphold the values outlined here and contribute to a positive and respectful atmosphere, both within the event and in its surrounding spaces.

 

Our Commitment to a Safe & Inclusive Space


Sunny Side of the Doc stands firmly against discrimination, harassment, and any behavior that undermines the dignity or well-being of others. We celebrate diversity and are committed to equitable treatment for all, regardless of nationality, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, ability, religion, or background. We expect all participants to engage in professional and courteous conduct throughout the event, both in-person and online.

 

Unacceptable Behavior


The following behaviors are considered unacceptable at Sunny Side of the Doc and may result in disciplinary action:

  • Harassment or Intimidation: Includes unwelcome comments, gestures, or actions that create a hostile environment.
  • Violent or Threatening Conduct: Any form of physical or verbal aggression.
  • Discriminatory Remarks or Actions: Treating individuals unfairly based on personal characteristics or identity.
  • Sexual Misconduct: Any unwanted sexual attention, comments, or contact.
  • Abuse of Power or Position: Exploiting roles of authority or influence inappropriately.

 

Addressing Issues


If you experience or witness inappropriate conduct, please let us know as soon as possible. Reports can be submitted confidentially through our dedicated form or directly to a team member on site. The form may be filled out anonymously if you prefer. You can also choose to provide your contact details if you wish to be reached by a member of our team. We take all reports seriously and will respond in a timely and respectful manner.

 

Complaint Handling & Resolution


  • Acknowledgment: You’ll receive confirmation within 5 working days.
  • Assessment: We aim to resolve cases within 10 working days.
  • Appeals: If needed, appeals can be submitted within 10 days following a resolution notice.

All reports are treated confidentially. We review and refine our processes regularly to ensure they are fair, transparent, and effective.

 

Consequences of Violations


Any breach of this Code of Conduct may result in corrective measures, including:

  • Verbal or written warnings
  • Removal from sessions or venues
  • Withdrawal of accreditation or access without refund
  • Legal action in severe cases

Sunny Side of the Doc reserves the right to act without prior notice in order to protect the integrity of the event and the safety of its community.
