our tips

Sunny Side of the Doc encourages international participants landing in Paris airports to continue their trip directly to La Rochelle by train rather than a connecting flight to nearby airports. For all arrivals at La Rochelle airport, participants will be able to take shuttles to reach the city center. Consult the schedule here.

Sunny Side of the Doc also signed the City of La Rochelle Sustainable Event Charter. It covers 8 areas of concern: waste management and prevention, transportation, accessibility, water and energy saving measures, biodiversity, health, digital responsibility and raising awareness for sustainability.

Sunny Side of the Doc is implementing a strategy that focuses on two main issues: CO2 emissions and waste management, in order to proactively integrate environmental sustainability into its operations in a practical and feasible way.

our actions

transportation

Sunny Side of the Doc encourages international participants to come from Paris by train rather than taking a connecting flight to nearby airports. For transportation in La Rochelle, Sunny Side of the Doc rents about 100 bikes from the city bike sharing system and lets participants use them for free.

Participants can also go back and forth from the venue to the city center for free by using a solar-propelled ferry. Since the train station is in the heart of La Rochelle and close to most hotels and the venue, we encourage walking and do not normally provide any shuttle, except in specific circumstances.

100% of the official Sunny Side of the Doc vehicle fleet will be electric or hybrid cars.
