Our philosophy

Over four days, from 22-25 June 2020, the special programme PiXii – Paths of Interaction, Experiences in Immersion & Innovation keeps opening new perspectives for digital mediation creating bridges between content producers, cultural stakeholders and technology businesses.

Promoting the Sunny Side of the Doc market’s innovative and creative dynamic, PiXii aims to foster greater innovation, collaboration, co-creation, dissemination and significant value for digital experiences & installations :

Taking place at Musée Maritime of La Rochelle, PiXii Festival is open to the general public (afternoons) to showcase the finest immersive works and designed as an international community-based marketplace fully oriented on B2B networking and information exchanges

Conducted in synergy Sunny Side of the Doc, the international marketplace for documentary and narrative experiences, PiXii Festival puts the stories first, benefits from the non-fiction industry’s expertise and becomes the meeting point for digital and creative cultures.

Focusing on new forms storytelling, knowledge transfer and augmented realities, PiXii Festival is the echo chamber of synergies at work in the Digital Mediation area. It also acts as an effective kickstarter for the development of digital installations and innovations enhancing the museums experiences worldwide.

PiXii Festival launches its international call for digital installations and experiences.

For the first time, immersive and interactive installations enhancing the museums, heritage sites and educational experiences will compete to integrate PiXii Festival official selection and competition.

An international jury of industry experts will award the best digital mediation installation with the Grand Prix PiXii worth €5,000.

Narrative projects should focus on the user’s experience and the interactive or immersive component can leverage any digital technologies VR, AR or mixed reality, 3D audio, 3D imaging, mapping… Ready to compete ?
