description
The financing landscape for documentary and factual programming is undergoing a fundamental transformation. Traditional funding pillars-broadcasters and pre-sales-are no longer sufficient to consistently close budgets as the media ecosystem continues to fragmentand evolve. In their place is emerging a new matrix of financing and strategic structures; cross-sector partnerships connecting filmmakers with venture capital, philanthropic foundations, impact investors, brands and strategic collaborators.
This session will explore how these partnerships are working already and how they are creating actionable frameworks that are unlocking projects that would otherwise remain unmade-particularly those with global scope, social relevance and unconventional narratives.
