Shenny Aricel Madrigal
Shenny A. Madrigal is an independent researcher, screenwriter and illustrator with a soft spot for Biology and History. She holds a bachelors degree in Media and Social Studies, and a master’s degree in Literature. Her first attempt at writing a script (about a blind character), lead her to immerse herself in the research of the evolution of the eye. When she wrote her first novel (published in Spanish and Italian), the interest in literature was already fading, yielding an experimental piece focused on the evolution of the Homo Lineage through the point of view of an ornithologist and music enthusiast. After these experiences, she abandoned the literary path and wholly embraced the goal of popularising scientific research. Her work as an illustrator is fully encompassed in the independent scientific researches that she carries. She has had extensive experience in audiovisual production, and with her animated text-drawings, she has also been present in the LOOP video-art fair in Barcelona. “The Origin of Music”, is the first movie in which she was able to put together to work her passions for art and science. At her small studio in Barcelona, she divides her time working in her research studies and creating visual projects related to ancient history and evolution.
