Company profile: Author Society.
Job description: I currently work on documentary films with strong social and political commitment. My last work was for Arte about the rise in Spain of the extreme right party called Vox. My first film “Les Passeurs » won the Mitrani Fipa 2004, prestigious award in France that rewards a first film in documentary or fiction. Les Passeurs is one of the first French films to question the tragedy of illegal immigration between Morocco and Spain. The film has had an international career and is part of the catalogs of BPI Paris and the documentary film library of France. Since then, I have continued to make documentary films, and social and ecological issues are at the heart of my work. Many of the documentaries I’ve made were selected and awarded in French or international festivals (Sheffield, Toronto, and Thessaloniki). Since 6 years, I am representing the French authors within the board of the largest society of non-fiction authors in France (40,000 authors). For that reason, I am a jury of writing scholarship and a member of several juries for prizes such as the New Writings Prize of the New Images Festival of Paris.
