About me: Since joining Lion over 20 years ago (!) Bill has made programmes on everything from the birth of Athenian Democracy to the Eurovision Song Contest.
Now, as Director of Specialist Factual he focuses on history, science, archaeology, arts and documentary for broadcasters all over the world – covering diverse subjects from Chinese Emperors to Syrian schoolchildren, newly discovered fossils to Vincent van Gogh’s ear; in styles from drama-documentary to presenter led investigations, studio competitions to observational documentaries, living-history to full animation.
Bill is very experienced at working on co-productions – in the last five years he has made films for BBC, C4, ITV, Five, ARTE, History Channel, National Geographic, Smithsonian, PBS, TRT (Turkey), Jiangsu Broadcasting Corporation and CCTV10.
