Sunny Side of the Doc : <\/strong>pas d'\u00e9dition en 2026, une r\u00e9flexion \u00e0 engager pour l'avenir<\/strong><\/h3>\n

La Rochelle, France, le 5 d\u00e9cembre 2025 -<\/strong> Depuis plus de 35 ans, Sunny Side of the Doc<\/strong><\/a> rassemble \u00e0 La Rochelle la communaut\u00e9 documentaire internationale<\/strong> pour cofinancer des \u0153uvres, r\u00e9v\u00e9ler de nouvelles voix et favoriser la rencontre entre auteurs, producteurs, diffuseurs, distributeurs, institutions et partenaires audiovisuels et culturels.<\/p>\n

Apr\u00e8s une analyse approfondie, Doc Services a pris la d\u00e9cision de ne pas organiser d'\u00e9dition de Sunny Side of the Doc en 2026.<\/strong> Cette d\u00e9cision difficile mais n\u00e9cessaire fait suite \u00e0 une conjonction de facteurs : la perte\u00a0de la principale subvention europ\u00e9enne\u00a0et la baisse de soutiens \u00e9conomiques structurants ainsi que des contraintes organisationnelles qui ne permettent plus de proposer un \u00e9v\u00e9nement \u00e0 la hauteur des enjeux de l'\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me audiovisuel mondial.<\/p>\n

La collaboration avec le Br\u00e9sil et l'Am\u00e9rique latine se poursuit n\u00e9anmoins en 2026 aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s du LatAm Content Meeting <\/strong>pour contribuer activement au d\u00e9veloppement de ce march\u00e9 prometteur. L\u2019appel \u00e0 projets est ouvert jusqu'au 10 d\u00e9cembre 2025, en vue des trois sessions de pitch th\u00e9matiques organis\u00e9es par Sunny Side of the Doc du 13 au 15 avril 2026 \u00e0 S\u00e3o Paulo.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ce tournant marque <\/strong>la fin d'un cycle et<\/strong> peut \u00eatre l'ouverture d'un nouveau<\/strong>, qui ne peut s'envisager que dans une logique de refondation. Si un retour venait \u00e0 se dessiner d\u00e8s 2027, il reposerait sur un projet port\u00e9 par la fili\u00e8re documentaire elle-m\u00eame. Un nouveau chapitre peut s'\u00e9crire et il appara\u00eet plus que jamais indispensable.<\/p>\n

Roman Jeanneau, Pr\u00e9sident de Doc Services, d\u00e9clare :<\/strong> \u00ab Apr\u00e8s six ann\u00e9es \u00e0 la t\u00eate de Doc Services, nous arrivons \u00e0 la fin d'un cycle. C'est le c\u0153ur lourd que j'ai pris la d\u00e9cision de ne pas organiser l'\u00e9dition 2026 du Sunny Side of the Doc. La longue histoire familiale de 36 ans avec Sunny Side s'ach\u00e8ve pour nous. Dans ce contexte, j\u2019ai une pens\u00e9e pour Yves Jeanneau, qui aura r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 cr\u00e9er un \u00e9v\u00e8nement, une marque forte, qui aura perdur\u00e9 au-del\u00e0 de sa disparition. Sunny Side reste essentiel pour la fili\u00e8re documentaire et nous esp\u00e9rons que les voix de cette industrie sauront se faire entendre. Je remercie sinc\u00e8rement nos partenaires et notre communaut\u00e9 professionnelle dans le monde entier pour leur confiance ind\u00e9fectible, ainsi que toutes les personnes qui auront r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 porter haut cet \u00e9v\u00e8nement tout au long de son histoire. \u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n

Aur\u00e9lie Reman, Directrice G\u00e9n\u00e9rale de Doc Services, commente :<\/strong> \u00ab Le documentaire est et doit rester un pilier culturel, citoyen et d\u00e9mocratique. J'ai port\u00e9 cette conviction au c\u0153ur de ma mission, soutenue par des \u00e9quipes investies, une industrie solidaire et un comit\u00e9 consultatif engag\u00e9. Les contraintes actuelles imposent cette transition difficile, mais je reste profond\u00e9ment convaincue de l'importance vitale de Sunny Side of the Doc. Un tel projet de reconstruction n\u00e9cessitera une vision renouvel\u00e9e et la mobilisation de toute la communaut\u00e9 internationale. Je transmets cette ambition avec la certitude que le genre documentaire m\u00e9rite en France et en Europe cet espace d'excellence, d\u2019ind\u00e9pendance, d\u2019authenticit\u00e9 et d\u2019\u00e9changes. \u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n
