L\u2019Asie a toujours occup\u00e9 une place particuli\u00e8re dans l\u2019ADN de Sunny Side of the Doc. Depuis sa cr\u00e9ation, Sunny Side a constamment offert une plateforme aux voix asiatiques, avec une attention particuli\u00e8re port\u00e9e \u00e0 la Chine par Yves Jeanneau, co-fondateur de Sunny Side of the Doc. Dans la continuit\u00e9 de cet h\u00e9ritage, notre partenariat avec CCDF r\u00e9affirme notre engagement \u00e0 soutenir des projets documentaires qui explorent des perspectives peu repr\u00e9sent\u00e9es et favorisent le dialogue international.<\/p>\n

Along the Way<\/em> <\/strong>suit l\u2019artiste et r\u00e9alisatrice Pu Xiao-yue, qui d\u00e9couvre une communaut\u00e9 chinoise presque disparue, celle des \u00ab self-comb women \u00bb, des femmes ayant fait v\u0153u de c\u00e9libat et de non-mariage, autrefois r\u00e9unies dans des \u00ab maisons de vieilles filles \u00bb aujourd\u2019hui disparues. Au fil de ses recherches, Pu rencontre A\u2019Zhuan, 87 ans, issue de la derni\u00e8re g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de self-comb women. Alors qu\u2019elle s\u2019attendait \u00e0 une justification f\u00e9ministe de son choix, Pu est surprise par une vision nuanc\u00e9e qui remet en question les oppositions classiques entre ind\u00e9pendance, tradition et modernit\u00e9. Ces rencontres ouvrent la voie \u00e0 une r\u00e9flexion profonde sur la culture f\u00e9minine, le vieillissement et la mortalit\u00e9, \u00e0 la fois dans une perspective historique et dans la Chine contemporaine.<\/p>\n

Le CNEX Chinese Documentary Forum (CCDF) est une plateforme d\u00e9di\u00e9e \u00e0 la promotion des films documentaires li\u00e9s \u00e0 la communaut\u00e9 chinoise. Son objectif est de favoriser la communication entre les cin\u00e9astes documentaristes chinois et les diffuseurs, fonds et distributeurs internationaux, afin de stimuler la collaboration cr\u00e9ative et d\u2019ouvrir de nouvelles opportunit\u00e9s de diffusion \u00e0 l\u2019international.<\/p>\n

Chaque ann\u00e9e, le CCDF s\u00e9lectionne des projets documentaires qui participent \u00e0 un programme compos\u00e9 de sessions de formation, d\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nements de pitch et de pr\u00e9sentations publiques.
