Suite \u00e0 la disparition de Roch Bozino le 30 mars 2023, Java Films et Sunny Side of the Doc ont souhait\u00e9 honorer son h\u00e9ritage en cr\u00e9ant, en 2024, le Prix Roch Bozino de l\u2019Engagement.<\/strong> Ce prix valorise des documentaires porteurs de sens et d\u2019humanit\u00e9, incarnant les valeurs qui lui \u00e9taient ch\u00e8res.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pour cette deuxi\u00e8me \u00e9dition, le prix poursuit son engagement sur la sc\u00e8ne internationale du documentaire. Le projet laur\u00e9at b\u00e9n\u00e9ficiera d\u2019une dotation de 3 000 euros ainsi que d\u2019un mentorat personnalis\u00e9 pour soutenir son d\u00e9veloppement.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab Lorsque l\u2019id\u00e9e de cr\u00e9er un prix en m\u00e9moire de Roch nous est venue, nous \u00e9tions port\u00e9s par une \u00e9motion forte<\/span>\u00a0\u00bb, d\u00e9clare Donatien Pierda, Distributeur et codirecteur des op\u00e9rations, des ventes et des acquisitions chez Java Films.<\/strong>\u00a0\u00ab Mais ses objectifs restaient encore \u00e0 clarifier. Roch \u00e9tait une personne engag\u00e9e, qui savait f\u00e9d\u00e9rer autour de lui et insuffler l\u2019envie d\u2019agir. C\u2019est en assistant aux pitchs de l\u2019an dernier, et gr\u00e2ce aux r\u00e9flexions passionn\u00e9es et collectives men\u00e9es avec le jury, que notre motivation s'est r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9e \u00e9vidente. Un mot s\u2019est alors impos\u00e9 : l\u2019espoir.<\/span><\/p>\n

Avec ce prix, nous voulons r\u00e9compenser un projet porteur d\u2019espoir \u2013 un projet qui nous bouscule, qui inspire \u00e0 faire bouger les lignes et \u00e0 repenser le monde de demain. \u00c0 l\u2019image de Roch, nous souhaitons que ce projet soit port\u00e9 par une \u00e9quipe engag\u00e9e, inspirante et d\u00e9termin\u00e9e. Le laur\u00e9at 2024<\/b><\/h3>\n

En 2024, <\/span>Tales and Sentences<\/span><\/i>, projet pitch\u00e9 dans la cat\u00e9gorie Global Issues, r\u00e9alis\u00e9 par Alexandre Donot-Saby et produit par Little Big Story (France), a remport\u00e9 le Prix Roch Bozino de l\u2019Engagement. Ce film suit Nora Gruber, r\u00e9alisatrice mandat\u00e9e par des avocats ou des condamn\u00e9s pour raconter leur histoire \u00e0 un unique spectateur : le juge. Ce r\u00e9cit singulier explore la fronti\u00e8re entre justice, narration et v\u00e9rit\u00e9, dans une Am\u00e9rique o\u00f9 les mots peuvent parfois peser autant que les faits.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

\u00ab Cette r\u00e9compense importante est venue poser le premier jalon de labellisation du projet en lui confirmant imm\u00e9diatement ses perspectives internationales, donnant l'impulsion d'une longue phase de d\u00e9veloppement qui a suivi.
Le prix de l'Engagement est une notion importante et repr\u00e9sentative pour les films que nous produisons, d'autant plus en l'associant \u00e0 la m\u00e9moire de Roch Bozino et ses valeurs d'ouverture sur le monde que nous partagions \u00bb, d\u00e9clare Rapha\u00ebl Pelissou, producteur et r\u00e9alisateur chez Little Big Story.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Il ajoute : \u00ab Le projet est en d\u00e9but de production apr\u00e8s une longue phase de d\u00e9veloppement qui nous a permis de r\u00e9unir des financements sur cette phase (CNC, Procirep-Angoa, r\u00e9gion Auvergne-Rh\u00f4ne-Alpes, mais aussi MEDIA Creative Europe).
Nous nous engageons actuellement avec France T\u00e9l\u00e9visions en production, tout en d\u00e9veloppant une coproduction avec le Canada, avec la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Portage Films.
Nous avons le soutien d\u2019un distributeur international, Cinephil. Le film entrera en production \u00e0 l\u2019automne. \u00bb<\/p>\n

Pour cette \u00e9dition 2025, le prix sera attribu\u00e9 \u00e0 un projet s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9 parmi les cat\u00e9gories <\/span>Current Affairs & Investigation<\/span><\/i> et <\/span>New Voices<\/span><\/i>. Le jury r\u00e9unira trois personnalit\u00e9s engag\u00e9es et reconnues du secteur : <\/span>Fabrice Est\u00e8ve<\/b>, producteur chez Yuzu Productions (France), <\/span>Jean-Luc Sterckx<\/b>, acheteur pour Viewcom (Belgique), et <\/span>Donatien Pierda<\/b>, distributeur et codirecteur des op\u00e9rations, ventes & acquisitions chez Java Films (France).<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00c0 travers ce prix, Java Films et Sunny Side of the Doc perp\u00e9tuent la vision de Roch Bozino : un engagement sinc\u00e8re au service des histoires humaines, une main tendue aux jeunes producteurs, et une c\u00e9l\u00e9bration des talents qui contribuent \u00e0 un cin\u00e9ma documentaire authentique et engag\u00e9.<\/span><\/p>\n
