Sunny Side of the Doc est un lieu strat\u00e9gique de rencontres et d\u2019initiatives internationales. Qu\u2019attendez-vous de votre pr\u00e9sence cette ann\u00e9e en tant que partenaire de longue date ?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Le Sunny Side reste pour CANAL+ un lieu privil\u00e9gi\u00e9 de rencontres avec les talents du documentaire, de d\u00e9couvertes de nouveaux projets et de partage de la vision \u00e9ditoriale de nos cha\u00eenes. Notre objectif est de pr\u00e9ciser nos besoins, d\u2019accueillir les propositions des producteurs et des r\u00e9alisateurs, et de d\u00e9velopper des collaborations avec des partenaires internationaux. Chaque ann\u00e9e nous repartons avec une dizaine de projets : RAID, DERRI\u00c8RE LA L\u00c9GENDE, LE CONFIN\u00c9 DE 14-18, MISSIONS COMMANDOS ou BLUE CARBON \u2013 LE SUPER POUVOIR DE LA NATURE sont des projets n\u00e9s ici ces deux derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u00c0 Sunny Side of the Doc, l\u2019ouverture \u00e0 de nouvelles formes de narration sera au c\u0153ur des \u00e9changes pour cette 36e \u00e9dition. Quelles nouvelles directions votre groupe explore-t-il aujourd\u2019hui en mati\u00e8re de narration documentaire ?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Notre vision est de promouvoir une grande vari\u00e9t\u00e9 d\u2019\u00e9critures narratives et de codes de r\u00e9alisation. On peut parfois reprocher au documentaire une certaine standardisation formelle en fonction des genres. Nous explorons des formes plus inattendues, comme des \u00ab\u202fpolars historiques\u202f\u00bb pop et rythm\u00e9s (ON A VOL\u00c9 LA JOCONDE\u202f!), des \u00ab\u202fTrue Crime\u202f\u00bb avec des interviews diff\u00e9rentes de celles habituellement associ\u00e9es au genre (LES RECLUS), ou des r\u00e9cits de voyage qui m\u00e9langent les codes de YouTube avec des plateaux TV travaill\u00e9s. Et bien s\u00fbr l\u2019utilisation de l\u2019IA pour donner vie \u00e0 l\u2019Histoire. Notre mot d\u2019ordre est une grande libert\u00e9 dans les \u00e9critures, sans cadrage ou cahier des charges cr\u00e9atifs.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

L\u2019intelligence artificielle occupe une place croissante dans l'industrie documentaire et sera bien \u00e9videmment au c\u0153ur des d\u00e9bats pour cette nouvelle \u00e9dition, comment percevez-vous son r\u00f4le dans le documentaire aujourd\u2019hui ?<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

L\u2019IA peut \u00eatre un formidable outil pour mettre en image ce qui n\u2019existe pas, et particuli\u00e8rement pour le documentaire historique. Elle permet de recr\u00e9er le pass\u00e9 avec une v\u00e9rit\u00e9 historique plus pr\u00e9cise qu\u2019une reconstitution fictionn\u00e9e. Nous avons d\u2019ailleurs plusieurs productions qui l\u2019utilisent (NAPOL\u00c9ON III, LE MASQUE DE FER, ON A VOL\u00c9 LA JOCONDE\u202f!). Nous avons \u00e9chang\u00e9 avec les \u00e9quipes de production pour comprendre et cadrer son utilisation. La difficult\u00e9 majeure aujourd\u2019hui est la rapidit\u00e9 de son \u00e9volution. Entre le d\u00e9but et la fin d\u2019une production, les \u00e9quipes cr\u00e9atives sont souvent oblig\u00e9es de reprendre des s\u00e9quences pour int\u00e9grer les \u00e9volutions technologiques.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Nos collaborations portent essentiellement sur les gros \u00e9v\u00e9nements internationaux qui n\u00e9cessitent un apport de plusieurs territoires ou au contraire sur des films plus niche qui cherchent une petite pr\u00e9vente pour boucler leur financement.
