Starting on January 8 of this year, public service television in France has been put to a difficult test. A new law went into effect before ever being debated in the Senate. The law is now in the books. It is now fact, certainty. But concerns about the sustainability of French television’s financing and its autonomy remain. Our 20th birthday party!

The first Sunny Side was organised in Marseille in 1990.
The twentieth will be held in La Rochelle from the 22nd to the 26th June.
More than 1,600 professionals from 50 countries will be there, including 330 decision-makers.
In these times of crisis, such positive figures are very good news.

Developing a taste for discovery

A taxi driver told me the other day that he works every night and, after catching up on his sleep, most days he watches France 5, without checking the schedule first. He enjoys the element of surprise and loves discovering documentaries about unexpected subjects, “learning what I didn’t have the time or interest to learn at school”, as he put it.
