After New-York, Toronto, Washington, Montreal, London, Sofia and Buenos Aires, the next co-production meetings will be happening in Hong Kong in the occasion of Filmart.
The European and Asian producerswith projects that might be coproduced, will be able to meet during three days and for the first time, about fifty distributors and deciders from both continents. 
The selected projects will be pitched and one to one meetings (Side by Side) will be organized...
Case studies, conferences (especially about 3D) and panels will allow you to understand the different possibilities and opportunities to co-finance with Asia.

With its 20 years of networking experience, Sunny Side of the Doc, the major international documentary market, will bring over to Asia the most important European decision makers / producers.
ASD is aimed to develop co-productions between Asia Pacific and Europe in the field of Documentary, Factual programming and Cross-Media platforms.

In the next 3 years ASD is going to take place in different major Asian cities: After Hong Kong, ASD will move to Seoul in 2011 and to Singapore in 2012.

ASD will be a regular Meeting Event for European and Asian Pacific commissioning editors and producers to share their experiences, understand their mutual needs and built up a strong network.

This event is based on the success Sunny Side Co-production Rendez-Vous, which has been organized for the past 6 years in the USA/New York, Washington Canada / Toronto, Montreal, United Kingdom/London, Eastern Europe / Sofia & South America / Buenos Aires.

ASD will gather 150 professionals, 50 European decision makers / producers and 100 Asian TV executives / producers. A selected number of participants will ensure the quality and the efficiency of the meetings.

SUNNY SIDE OF THE DOC

In 1989, Yves Jeanneau created the Sunny Side of the Doc, which became the major marketplace for worldwide
documentaries. For its 20th anniversary in 2009, the Sunny Side of the Doc welcomed 1812 participants, including
281 international decision makers and 443 exhibiting companies from 45 countries.

ASIAN SIDE OF THE DOC

is organized by Images du Réel (Sunny Side of the Doc) and Sinapses Asia Ltd (Hong Kong),
with the support of MEDIA International, in partnership with ARTE and the National Film Board of Canada.
