STIMULATING CO-PRODUCTION IN THE FIELD OF DOCUMENTARY,
FACTUAL PROGRAMMING AND CROSS-MEDIA PLATFORMS

Asian Side of the Doc is an annual international co-production rendezvous firmly designed as a Co-production Market & Partner Search Event. Its main objective is to create reciprocal new co-production opportunities for European and Asian documentary producers and commissioning editors, as well as entering a new market. The event is focussing on the projects themselves and on individual encounters. It brings together 400 participants who get to know “who’s who”, and the projects that are carried in through the pitch sessions and the catalogue ; the panels and case studies give them the information on what are the opportunities but also what are the difficulties, and there are frequent networking opportunities, such as coffee breaks, lunches and cocktails. An Australian delegation will also attend ASD.

> 4 DAY MEETING BETWEEN THE MOST IMPORTANT DECISION MAKERS & PRODUCERS FROM EUROPE AND ASIA, and also from North America and the Pacific Rim
