Biography :

She combines business with pleasure by blending her Masters in Management Science (from the Sorbonne University, Paris) with her love of television. After holding several positions in the field of cinema and press, she started specialising in documentary by joining ARTE France’s International Distribution Department in 2005. She uses her command of marketing tools, (flyers, web sites, adverts, etc) and of administration tools (dispatching DVDs, contracting, delivering materials, etc), to oversee the representation of a catalogue containing over 4,000 hours-worth of programmes in the Americas, the Middle East and Africa, as well in the air (Inflight).

Biography:

Benjamin Hoguet is an author and a creator of interactive and transmedia projects. After co-founding Racontr in 2012, he is developing initiatives as a freelance creator to enhance and strengthen new forms of writing. To this purpose he cofounded in 2013 Storycode Paris, an association which has already organised dozens of conferences and workshops dedicated to interactive and transmedia creation. In June 2015, he published one of the first books entirely dedicated to new forms of writing, called La Narration Réinventée, a practical guide to authors, producers and broadcasters of innovative content.

Biography:

Claudia previously worked in the UK for BBC Worldwide, Parthenon Entertainment (now SkyVision), iDD and was later involved in founding Passion Distribution. After moving back to Germany Claudia founded TVlicious Media, specialising in territory consultancy and representation to start up distributors and production companies.

Biography:

Diego Briceño is president and co-founder of Makila, a digital media factory, school and content incubator based in Montreal. Born in Colombia, he settled in Canada where he started Peripheria, a production company where he directed, produced and edited many documentaries and short films for national and international release until 2008. In 2009, with Giulia Frati, he initiated the Cuban Hat project to support emerging media creators at local and global media markets such as Hot Docs, IDFA and Sunny Side. More recently, he specialised in interactive media, organising incubation labs and ideation workshops in Canada and Latin America.

Biography:

Producer of short films and documentaries for television for thirty years, Edmée Millot has been an executive producer at Gédéon, an associate producer at Films d’Ici, and a programme officer at Arte France. She is now at the head of the company Eleazar, with Marie Guirauden. Her fields of interest are knowledge, history and science films.

Elizabeth Klinck has worked as producer, researcher and clearance specialist on international documentary films and digital media projects that have garnered Emmy, Peabody and Oscar awards. She has personally been nominated and won many international researcher awards. She has lead workshops and seminars in both North America and in Europe. Elizabeth serves as a board member of the FOCAL International Executive and WIFT Toronto. Formerly she was on the board of Impact Media and AV Trust. She is a founding chairperson of the Visual Researchers’ Society of Canada and is a member of DOC and WIFT Toronto.

Giulia Frati is a producer member of Makila, a digital media factory, school and content incubator based in Montreal. Born in Italy, she is now settled in Montreal Canada where she has directed and produced several independent projects. In 2009, she initiated the Cuban Hat project with Diego Briceño. The Cuban Hat is an online platform aiming to support emerging media creators at local and global media markets such as Hot Docs, IDFA, RIDM and Sunny Side of the Doc. More recently, she has line produced a few documentary series, organised cultural exchanges between Quebec, Mexico and France, and given several pitching workshops in Canada, Latin America and Europe.

Biography:

360 Production Founder and Creative Consultant. John began his career in the BBC Documentaries department, making series including Airport, Children’s Hospital and Reputations. After that, he set up the popular docs unit at Granada and the factual arm of Ginger TV, before landing back at the BBC to edit Timewatch, make major docudramas like Nuremburg and Wild West and shape some of BBC Factual’s early online successes. These days, he helps drive 360’s mission to make the best popular, landmark and online factual content in the world. He also really likes football, but is a very slow full-back these days.

Mark Wild has worked in development with BBC Natural History Unit for 2 years. Previously he was Director International Development for National Geographic Television in Washington DC. Prior to this, he was Head of Production and Development for Discovery Communications with Animal Planet International responsible for programming throughout the UK, EMEA, Germany, Italy, Asia, Pacific Rim and Latin America regions. Before Discovery he worked in feature films across disciplines and was an early graduate of the UK Film industry training scheme having gained practical experience in photography and advertising.

Martine Michon is an international development and fundraising consultant who has been specialising in the documentary field for the last 15 years, after holding various roles for several international film festivals, including coordinator of the films’ office for Directors Fortnight (Cannes Film Festival) and FIPA. Nick Ware worked for many years at a senior level in the BBC in channels and commissioning, including as the Managing Editor of BBC Four; Creative Director of BBC Learning, and Commissioning Executive for Arts Programmes. He also was channel controller of the not-for-profit Community Channel in the UK, and channel manager of The Africa Channel. He is now an executive producer and media consultant. He is International Director of the Indian Documentary Foundation, which has been set up to support documentary makers from India through training, events and capacity building.
