Biography:

Michelle Bruce is the founder of Belle Vie TV, an international business affairs consultancy specialising in the negotiation and contracting of US, UK and pan-regional shows. Her clients include producers, broadcasters, talent, co-production agents and distributors. Michelle has a 20 year career in television, having spent 5 years as a producer and distributor and 11 years working for Discovery Networks in the US, UK and Asia before consulting for her clients which include Discovery, Scripps and Fox. She is the co-founder of the Business Affairs Network with more than 500 lawyers worldwide.

Biography:

360 Production Founder and Creative Consultant. John began his career in the BBC Documentaries department, making series including Airport, Children’s Hospital and Reputations. After that, he set up the popular docs unit at Granada and the factual arm of Ginger TV, before landing back at the BBC to edit Timewatch, make major docudramas like Nuremburg and Wild West and shape some of BBC Factual’s early online successes. These days, he helps drive 360’s mission to make the best popular, landmark and online factual content in the world. He also really likes football, and is hoping Ireland win Euro 2016.

Biography:

Heidi Fleisher is a freelance American documentary producer and consultant based in Paris. She just spent the last year heading up the sales department at ARTE France, where she was in charge of catalogue acquisitions and international sales. Prior to that, she has been helping French producers to navigate the international market, develop and finance their films since 2006. She has also worked with Sunny Side to create training programs and master classes for foreign producers, in terms of project development and production strategy.

Biography:

Peter Hamilton is a senior consultant who works with Factual industry leaders worldwide to plan and execute their business initiatives. His clients have included CBS, Discovery, A+E Networks, Scripps, Nat Geo, BBC and Canal +, as well as governments like Singapore’s MDA, and non-profits including Paul Allen’s Vulvan Foundation. Peter served as EP of the Smithsonian Channel / BBC special ‘A Shot To Save the World’ featuring Bill Gates. He was educated at the University of Pennsylvania (MBA) and in Melbourne, Australia. Peter Hamilton Consultants Inc is based in New York.

Biography:

Benjamin Hoguet is an author and a creator of interactive and transmedia projects. In the past, he co-founded the interactive editing software Racontr in 2012, and the non-profit Storycode Paris in 2013, organizing conferences and events dedicated to new forms of storytelling. He is now working freelance with various producers and media on interactive documentaries, fiction or graphic novels.

Biography:

She combines business with pleasure by blending her Masters in Management Science (from the Sorbonne University, Paris) with her love of television. After holding several positions in the field of cinema and press, she started specialising in documentary by joining ARTE France’s International Distribution Department in 2005. She uses her command of marketing tools, (flyers, web sites, adverts, etc) and of administration tools (dispatching DVDs, contracting, delivering materials, etc), to oversee the representation of a catalogue containing over 4,000 hours-worth of programmes in the Americas, the Middle East, Africa, Spain and Portugal, as well in the air (Inflight).

Biography:

Elizabeth Klinck has worked as producer, researcher and clearance specialist on international documentary films and digital media projects that have garnered Emmy, Peabody and Oscar awards. She has personally been nominated and won many international researcher awards. She has lead workshops and seminars in both North America and in Europe. Elizabeth serves as a board member of the FOCAL International Executive. Formerly she was on the board of WIFT Toronto, Impact Media and AV Trust. She is a founding chairperson of the Visual Researchers’ Society of Canada and is a member of DOC and WIFT Toronto.

Biography:

After various experiences in films festivals, Madeline Robert dedicates her career to documentary and settles in Lussas, within the Documentary Village (France). There, she managed a program of workshops and coproduction meetings in Africa, before founding a production company Les Films de la Caravane in 2011. In 2012, she also takes part in setting up the first edition of Doc Corner, a space dedicated to documentary films within the Cannes Festival Film Market. She then works at Visions du Réel for the program of the festivals since 2015.

Biography:

Jan Rofekamp is owner & CEO of Films Transit International. Founded in 1982, Films Transit International is one of the longest running and renowned international sales agencies of quality documentaries. He sits on the board of IDFA, EDN and the Greek Film Centre. Over the years Jan has been consulting and conducting workshops at many important documentary events and festivals, such as IDFA, Hotdocs, Nordisk Panorama, Visions du Reel / Nyon, East Silver, Thessaloniki Doc Festival and Sunny Side of the Doc just to name a few… and hundreds of producers and filmmakers at these events. He was recently appointed Head of Studies at the Documentary Campus Masterschool based in Berlin.

Biography:

Nick Ware worked for many years at a senior level in the BBC in channels and commissioning, including as the Managing Editor of BBC Four; Creative Director of BBC Learning, and Commissioning Executive for Arts Programmes. He is now a producer and media consultant. His latest films include “Sour Grapes” directed by Jerry Rothwell and “Becoming Cary Grant” by Mark Kidel. He is International Director of the Indian Documentary Foundation, which supports documentary makers from India.
