The Sichuan Television office in joint partnership with the China Intercontinental Communication Center is now making a call for entries to producers around the world to a pitching session with the theme: China stories for the world.

To help tell Chinese stories suitable for an international audience and to engage the world with China, The International Gold Panda Documentary Festival would like to encourage emerging producers with potential, to explore and produce quality content on Chinese topics for international broadcasters and a global audience. To this end, the organizing committee will provide a support fund to those proposals that are selected in the competition. Furthermore, industry resources and assistance on the ground in China will be provided to winning entries.

Brief:  China stories told from an international perspective. Pitches may be for projects that are at any stage of development – from early research through to projects that already in post production. Domestic and foreign film and television production companies are both invited to pitch. Shortlisted entries will receive a complimentary one-day briefing, guidance, and training session before the pitch conference. This will be provided by independent media institutions and broadcasters.

How to make your submission 

1. Login to the official Sichuan TV Festival website (Chinese language site : http://www.sctvf.com/; English language site: www.sctvf.com/en) to download the registration forms.

2. Fill in the registration forms and return electronically.

3. Prepare a brief introduction of your project in both Chinese and English and the introduction of your core team members.

4. Submit at least two production stills if you have any in either JPEG or GIF format (800×600pixels preferred). The images will be used to publicize your work, such as on websites and festival catalogue.

5. Upload a trailer if any of three to five minutes in length with either English narration or English subtitles to www.hightail.com and send us the download link.

6. The deadline for submission is 25th August, 2016. Please send the whole submission to market@sctvf.com and a copy to 15901075132@139.com. Please include the name of your project and company in the title of the email. Upon receiving the materials, the Sichuan TV Festival office will inform the participants whether they have completed the registration process successfully.
