PITCHING SESSIONS

Four pitching sessions
across the week will see creative teams from Asia and beyond pitch their projects in development, guided by expert moderators Iikka Vehkalati, Ulla Simonen, Ruby Chen and Alex Lee (TBC).

The 7th ‪Asian Side of the Doc co-production platform will present 32 factual projects from 16 countries, looking for international partners and/or financing.

The selected creative teams will get to know interested potential investors, partners and buyers from across Asia and beyond. Projects’ holders attending Asian Side will be able to book one-to-one meetings with decision makers attending the market.

On November 3rd, in Bangkok, awards will be given to the presentations which most impressed our international jury in each following category:

  • Best International Project
  • Best ASEAN Project, sponsored by INA – See prizes
  • Best Asian Project: a pitch selection, 4-day accreditation, travel and accommodation for Sunny Side of the Doc 2017
  • Luang Prabang Film Festival Award: one project selection for a full-day Talent Lab (December 3) led by the Tribeca Film Institute for Southeast Asian filmmakers to develop grant writing and project pitching at the 7th Luang Prabang Film Festival which will take place on December 2-7, 2016.

ASEAN Pitch Competition on October 31 at 11am

Asian Side of the Doc opens on October 31 with a special ASEAN Pitch session to offer the opportunity to trained ASEAN producers and emerging talents to pitch their concepts in front of an audience of international decision makers.
